Akin Adamson is TRL’s Regional Director for the Middle East. He has extensive advisory and research experience across multiple industries including transportation, ICT and energy. Previously he was a Global Head of Consulting at Nokia Siemens Networks and a Director at Telstra in Australia. He began his consulting career at A.T. Kearney in the UK and Australia, focusing on the transportation and automotive sectors. Akin began his research career at London Business School in the Energy Sector and has lectured at both LBS and LSE. He is originally from the UK but is now based in Doha, Qatar with his family. He was educated at The London School of Economics, London Business School and the University of Michigan, USA.

The award will go to the vendor or project owner who has shown best use of intelligent transport technology managing and/ or estimating traffic flow.
Best use of Technology for Road Safety Enforcement:
This award will be given for innovative use of technology in deterring speeding of motorists and/or careless driving.
Best Use of Technology for Smarter Mobility:
This award will go to the vendor or project owner who has shown innovative use of smart technology to reduce car dependency and encourage use of public transport or to the development of a shared, electrified or autonomous mobility model.
